God gave us the glorious Old testament through the nation of Israel, that they might be the light unto the world to bring people to the true living God. they failed musically because they did not approach God by faith into the rituals of the ceremonial, dietary and moral law of God. The law was perfect but mankind was not and God made a system of sacrifice from Adam, but the blood of bulls and goats could only cover but could never take away sin. those rituals were but a shadow of the reality of the one who would come take away sin which is Jesus Christ and once and for all he entered into the most holy or holies and was the satisfaction of a sacrifice that for those who believe would receive forgiveness and imputed righteousness. no more empty systems thug by man's imaginations to religion.
