Sunflower Day for Hospice & Nature | Cork News
from Cork News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
Sunflower Day is back at Corrin Nature Reserve on Sunday, August 23rd — and it’s bigger than ever! This beloved annual event raises funds split evenly between Marymount Hospice and the reserve itself, with last year’s haul topping $2,300 for hospice care. Five years strong, this year’s celebration features thousands of sunflowers (perfect for pollinators and photo ops), live local music, and tons of family-friendly fun: face painting, free drinks, and complimentary sunflowers, seed packets, tea, coffee, and homemade treats. Plus, there’s a grey partridge restoration project, native tree planting, butterfly and bee gardens, and winter berry plots. Kids will love it, adults will enjoy the vibe, and everyone gets to support vital community causes. Free parking is available, and you can still donate online if you can’t make it. Don’t miss this vibrant day of nature, music, and giving back. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
