Sunny Sunday and Train Changes
from Wake Up Sydney
Wake Up Sydney brings you your Sunday morning update for 11 October 2026, covering the latest on weather, traffic and trains across Sydney. It’s shaping up to be a mostly sunny and relaxed day, with the Sydney CBD warming from around 18°C to 25°C, Parramatta heading for 27°C, and Bondi sitting beautifully around 24°C. Perfect conditions for a beach walk, picnic, market visit, or an easy Sunday out. On the roads, Sydney is looking calm this morning, with no current traffic incidents reported and smooth conditions expected for Sunday drivers. The key travel alert is on public transport, with major weekend trackwork affecting several train lines. Replacement buses are running on parts of the T4 Illawarra Line, including between Cronulla, Waterfall and Central, and between Central and Bondi Junction, with buses not stopping at Martin Place. South Coast Line passengers should also plan ahead, with buses replacing trains between Dapto, Port Kembla and Central, while some services continue to run on changed timetables. In western Sydney, buses are replacing trains between Parramatta, Lidcombe and Olympic Park, and some services are running to altered timetables or stopping patterns. Blue Mountains Line trains are operating only between Blue Mountains stations and Blacktown, with passengers needing to change for city connections. Before heading out, check your trip, allow extra travel time, and bring a little patience — plus maybe a snack for the journey.
