Sunset Limited Derailment

from Unresolved: A True Crime & Mystery Podcast · host Unresolved Productions

In the early morning hours of October 9th, 1995, Amtrak's Sunset Limited - which regularly traveled between coasts - slipped off of the tracks in rural Arizona. As investigators began looking into the cause of this wreck, they discovered that this was no accident. A group (or an individual masquerading as a group) had conspired to make this derailment happen, leaving four copies of a rambling & poetic "manifesto" at the crime scene. All four letters were signed with the same moniker: "Sons of the Gestapo" (or, abbreviated, "S.O.G."). Despite an investigation that has spanned more than two decades, looked into extremist groups across North America, and offered up a $310,000 reward, the train's saboteurs have never been identified. Written, hosted, and produced by Micheal WhelanLearn more about this podcast at unresolved.meIf you would like to support this podcast and others, consider heading to patreon.com/unresolvedpod to become a PatronThis episode features a promo for my friends Shea and Erin, who host the informative & entertaining podcast All Crime No Cattle Music CreditsOKAM vs ps - "Exploring the Convoluted Singularity"Squire Tuck - "What Will Be Will Be (Organ Remix)"The Gateless Gate - "Approaching Snow Squall"Graham Bole - "Nae Shaam"How the Night Came - "I - HNO3"ROZKOL - "The Fruit Will Rot"Chris Zabriskie - "I Used to Need the Violence"Alan Spiljak - "Forgotten"Forlon - "Roembden Crater"Other original music created and composed by Ailsa TravesBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/unresolved-a-true-crime-mystery-podcast--3266604/support.
