Sunsets in a jar
from Poetry by Tim Windisch · host Tim Windisch
Sunsets in a jar Pretty sunrise, slow to rise You’re not sharing my skies Miles divide, the distance she cried One day will be none babe feel me inside Soothe the scar, my love pours over where you are I’ll gather all we’ve missed; I’ll keep the sunsets in a jar Evenings chill, lying cold alone until You’re here beside me such a thrill Warmth we create, pure love radiate Tensions evaporate lying with my life mate Gazing up at the north star, times it seems like you’re that far So babe I’ll gather all we’ve missed; I’ll keep the sunsets in a jar One day soon, we will open it under the moon And watch those sunsets singing a happy tune Don’t you worry your pretty head honey I’ll keep the sunsets in a jar Tim Windisch 09/27/2023
