An Iraqi-American, Zainab talks about growing up in Saddam Hussein's inner circle, leading a life of privilege and luxury but also one of fear and terror. When she was 19 years old, Zainab left Iraq for an arranged marriage in the United States, which turned out to be abusive, forcing her to leave the marriage and start a new life. She later founded Women for Women International, a grassroots humanitarian and development organization dedicated to serving female survivors of war.
