Carragher labelled the victory as one of Jurgen Klopp’s best victories as a manager. Van Dijk’s red card wasn’t the only moment of controversy as Trent Alexander-Arnold was involved in two separate incidents early in the first half but avoided a second yellow card. Both Carra and Given agreed that the full-back should have been sent off.Carragher also said Liverpool can challenge Manchester City this season and be their biggest rivals again but they need to strengthen their squad before the transfer window closes on Friday.
