Dr. Boikhutso is actively involved in children's causes and holds leadership positions in organizations such as the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation of South Africa and the Ronald MacDonald House Charities (South Africa). She also serves as a Trustee of Phambile Trust for Tertiary Education and is an honorary lecturer at the School of Public Health. Recently, she was recognized as a public sector leader by the Future of Leadership Forum. In the interview, she reflects on every challenge she has gone through and how it has shaped her into the leader she is today.
