Positive K is a North American rapper born in Bronx, New York. This Bronx-born rapper, Positive K pulsated in underground Hip Hop back in the day contributing to the success of Old Skool Hip Hop with tracks like “I’m Not Havin’ It” a duet with MC Lyte. Positive K also made an appearance on one of Hip Hops most celebrated albums of all time, All For One by Brand Nubian. Self releasing his first single, “Nightshift” produced by Big Daddy Kane, Positive K scored a major rap hit with 1992’s “I Got a Man”. Success with his first single lead to favorable reception and continued success of his first debut full-length LP, The Skills Dat Pay da Bills. Released on Island Records, 4th & Broadway, The Skills Dat Pay da Bills received acclaim under and above ground and many of the tracks were club standard. Positive K has kept his own label, Creative Control in operation, signing and cultivating new talent, over the years.Positive K is now working in the world of stand up comedy.
