Erik Showalter, President of the Baton Rouge General Foundation, joins us for today's podcast. BRGF is a foundation which supports Baton Rouge General by philanthropic events, helping the hospital provide healthcare to the community. The donations and gifts acquired go to equipment, technology, services, programs, and also research for BRG. These gifts and donations allow the patients to have an experience they will remember, like during Covid when Erik and his team raised money for iPads so patients could talk to family! BRGF has more plans they are working on in the future, including a mobile health unit which can do primary care visits, vaccines, screenings, mental health assets, and much more, all being brought out to the community in Baton Rouge!
