The prevalence of 5-15 year olds experiencing emotional disorders (including anxiety and depression) has increased by 48% – from 3.9% in 2004 to 5.8% in 2017. In 2020 that number has probably increased again. This week we have one of our regular guests, Lorraine Petersen OBE. Lorraine is an educational consultant with 25 years experience working in schools and since 2004 has been supporting Special Needs in a variety of ways, as the CEO of NASEN and as a consultant, director of a teaching school alliance and Governor. Lorraine has received numerous awards for her work, including her OBE.
