Supreme Lord, Sufficient Savior A Study of Colossians Week 11 Colossians 2:16-19

As we study the book of Colossians, we notice that Paul shifts the focus of his letter in the second chapter. After completing his introduction in chapter one, he addresses the church by highlighting some dangerous obstacles to their spiritual growth. In this week’s sermon, we will examine Paul's second and third warnings to believers. These warnings were relevant to the church at Colossae two thousand years ago and remain relevant for us at North Conway today.The church at Colossae might have existed thousands of years ago, and thousands of miles away from us, but the letter Paul wrote to them is just as meaningful and relevant today as if it were written yesterday. The book of Colossians offers a wonderful mix of theological truth and practical life application. The beginning of the book presents one of the most profound teachings about Christ anywhere in scripture. The second half explains how that truth is expressed in every aspect of our lives, from our individual lives to our homes, families, and work. No matter where you are, there is something in this study for you.
