Surah Al Baqarah I Ayah 170-171 I سورۃ البقرة (Blind Following of the Forefathers)

When it is said to them, “Follow what Allah has revealed,” they reply, “No! We ˹only˺ follow what we found our forefathers practicing.” ˹Would they still do so,˺ even if their forefathers had ˹absolutely˺ no understanding or guidance? (Ayah 170) The example of those (blindly following their Forefathers) is like a flock not comprehending anything but the calls and cries of the shepherd. ˹They are deaf, dumb and blind so they have no understanding.(Ayah 171)
