Surah Al-Kahf

from Tafheem-ul-Quran Hosted by Maulana Syed Abul Ala Maududi

In this episode, Maulana Syed Abul Ala Maududi explores Surah Al-Kahf, a Makkan chapter filled with profound lessons on faith, trials, and divine wisdom. The Surah presents four key stories: the People of the Cave, the owner of two gardens, Prophet Musa (AS) and Khidr, and Dhul-Qarnayn. Each story conveys deep messages about belief, patience, the deception of worldly wealth, and the importance of seeking knowledge. This episode covers: • The People of the Cave – Young believers who sought refuge from persecution and were granted divine protection. • The Man with Two Gardens – A lesson on the dangers of arrogance and reliance on material wealth. • Musa (AS) and Khidr – A journey of divine wisdom, showing that Allah’s plan is beyond human understanding. • Dhul-Qarnayn – A righteous ruler who used his power justly to protect people from oppression. Surah Al-Kahf is a powerful reminder of the trials believers face and the need for patience, humility, and reliance on Allah. It encourages deep reflection on one’s faith and the fleeting nature of worldly success. This Surah is also recommended for recitation on Fridays, as it provides protection from the trials of Dajjal (the Antichrist).
