Surfing Without Sight
from Santa Barbara News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
Blind Fitness is hosting their fourth annual surf clinic this Saturday at Santa Claus Lane Beach, offering blind and low-vision individuals a chance to surf safely and confidently—with 24 participants expected and over 60 volunteers already signed up. Powered by Surf Happens and Wayfinder Family Services, and made possible by the Foreseeable Future Foundation, the event is completely free and designed to break down barriers to recreation. It’s more than surfing—it’s building community, courage, and connection. Volunteers still needed to help make this inclusive day a success, as part of Blind Fitness’s “Make Waves: Triple Your Impact” campaign to expand adaptive fitness opportunities nationwide.
