Surge: Work Matters, October 11, 2020

from The Surge Podcast · host The Surge CC

Truth is, who we are outside of work matters. Getting our correct identity right outside of work will make all the things we’ve talked about the last three week fall into place. Most of us grew up with some bad identities that marked us—“You’re fat, slow, small, stupid, clumsy, weak, useless. Maybe we got these identities from our families. Maybe we got them from classmates. If we’re not careful, we can spend our lives carrying those around or trying to prove them wrong. Ultimately, we just need Jesus to tell us who we are. Isn’t it awesome we can be called “children of God.” If we buy into this identity, work falls into its proper place.
