We talk about my symptoms leading up to the procedure, healthcare barriers, the surgery itself and the recovery so far. Overall, I'm really happy I finally agreed to the procedure. While the recovery has been difficult, I can honestly say it's worth it. I forgot one thing I wanted to talk about - the accessibility aids I wish I purchased before the procedure (shower chair, handle to get in and out of the car, compression socks).
