Surrender To Succeed

Beloved in Jesus Christ: Jacob had escaped from Esau 20 years before, he spent that time in Mesopotamia with Laban, he got rich, and he had a family. and now he was returning home to Canaan because God told him to. God wanted him in Canaan to occupy the land, and preserve that line of promise, that line from which Christ would come. But Jacob had some issues to work out…and God had some issues to work out in Jacob. Jacob tried to take short-cut to occupying the land by relying on his wicked, reprobated brother, for help! So God needed to free Jacob from his independent streak so that he would be most productive in Canaan and make him more dependent. This is what you will see today. Our headings are: 1. Jacob Wrestles 2. Jacob Clings 3. Jacob Testifies Our goals are: That you will learn to free yourself from human plans and cling to Christ's plans to be successful in your Christian life.
