Surving The Wilderness - Influence

In this chapter of the middle school survival guide, we’re looking at influence, which is a broad term for someone or something that has the ability to shape you. We’ll establish that influence in itself isn’t a bad thing. All of us have blind spots and areas of growth and we need influences to bring these to light. However influence can go horribly wrong when we listen to and seek out “bad company”. We do this because they accept us and make us acceptable. The key then is to find influences that love you just as your are but love you enough that they won’t let you stay there.
