Jenn and Joe begin covering Survival Cannibalism texts with Frank Marshall’s 1993 film Alive. Adapted from the book by Piers Paul Read, the film brings to life the 72 days survivors of the doomed Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 were stranded on a mountain high in the Andes.  This harrowing film has haunted us both since childhood, but how does Marshall handle the story’s darker moments and an inspirational trek out of the mountains?
