In most survival games, we're focused on the basics: food, water, shelter, and safety. But what if we could have a little more luxury in our survival experience? In this episode of the State of Survival podcast, we discuss some aspects of survival games Such as DayZ, Rust, Minecraft and the Long Dark that could use a little luxury without breaking the game. We talk about clothing, food, and lodging, and share some ideas on how to make these elements more immersive and enjoyable. We also discuss the new Frontier Comforts update for The Long Dark, which adds a variety of new recipes and cooking mechanics to the game. These recipes allow players to create more luxurious meals, such as maple syrup pancakes and fish cakes.
