She testified against her paternal grandfather at eight-years-old back in the days before closed captioning tv in 1985. She is at work on a memoir about her experience and has been published in The Manifest-Station and On Loan From the Cosmos. A frequent podcast guest, she enjoys sharing her story of recovering from sexual trauma as well as struggles with alcoholism, an eating disorder and financial chaos across a wide variety of platforms. She hosts “Voices of Survivors,” a monthly Zoom reading series with Addie Tsai, a Houston-based writer, that highlights the voices of survivors of sexual trauma from a variety of backgrounds.
