Surviving Family

Surviving Family is a play on Lifetime's 3 part docu-series of Surviving R. Kelly. There has been an uproar in the black community about the allegations and victims stories and #MuteRKelly. For several generations both men and women have been sexually molested and or raped by a family member and have been silenced for years and the psychological effects on the black community who have been suppressing those childhood traumas for years and masking those horrible events that took place in their lives, only for it to show up in adulthood and how they are as sexual beings.
