Surviving to Thriving

Trigger Warning: In this episode we talk about sexual assault/violence - if you have been affected by any of these please contact your local Rape Crisis Centre Anna Slattery shares with us a traumatic event that She endured at only 18 years of age whilst in college in Galway and how She found the courage to survive the attack and move forward with the support of family, friends and the Galway Rape Crisis Centre. Anna volunteered with RCC for many years fundraising and went on to train as a crisis counsellor to help others in similar situations. I had worked with Anna in 2016 when She attended as my client and She says this was the start of her healing process. She went onto further her own development and recovery through other modalities and is now a practitioner in Reiki, IET, Rahanni, Crystal Healing & Cacao ceremonies. Having a background in Art, Anna teaches classes and combines her creative mindfulness practices and is currently studying Forest School Leadership for Children. A bubbly and passionate soul, Anna shows that letting go, finding forgiveness and being aware of her own needs has helped her to move through other challenges that She has faced in life, including the passing of her Dad and the loss of Willow to miscarriage. She embraces life with a smile and a willingness to help others.
