Suspect Goes INSANE After Realizing He's Been Caught | Case of Brooks ClearyLate at night on December 26th, 2022, police in Marietta, Georgia, responded to a medical emergency call reporting a woman having a stroke. While officers were en route, dispatch updated them with alarming details: the woman's head appeared "caved in," and she was bleeding from her ears and mouth. Marietta Fire Department was already on the scene and urgently requested police assistance, stating they had detained a male suspect.Officers raced to the location, with their response captured on the following bodycam footage.Officers arrived on the scene and took the male suspect, later identified as Brooks Cleary, into custody. Firefighters on the scene informed police that the female victim, later identified as Brooks' fiancée, Hailey Johnson, had been pronounced deceased.According to the firefighters, when they first arrived at the apartment, Brooks had let them in and then quietly sat on the floor next to Hailey. As they worked on her, they noticed that Brooks was sitting on what they later discovered was a shotgun—the possible murder weapon he had attempted to conceal. When asked what had happened, Brooks responded, "I don’t know, she fell," and asked if she was going to be okay.Officers then secured the crime scene and spoke to witnesses at the apartment complex.
