On November 5th, 2017, a gunman opened fire on worshippers at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, TX. A churchgoer, Stephen Willeford, then shot him twice causing him to flee the scene but not before he killed 26 people and wounded another 22. Willeford chased him down causing him to crash and when the police arrived at the scene they discovered the shooter dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound. As usual, there were red flags on this guy before the shooting took place including a domestic violence charge while he was in the Air Force that was never reported the FBI's National Crime Information Center that would have prevented him from purchasing the weapon used in the killings.
