Meine Begeisterung für Sven Regener fing Mitte der 90er an. Seine Band Element of Crime hat mir ihren Liedern “Weisses Papier”, “Schwere See” oder “Damals hinterm Mond” den Soundtrack für viele melancholische Rotweinabende geliefert. Sven Regener ist Sänger, Gründer und genialer Texter der Band. Dass er irgendwann ein Buch schreiben wird, lag auf der Hand. 2001 erschien sein erster Roman “Herr Lehmann”, der direkt ein gigantischer Erfolg wurde. Jetzt pendelt er zwischen seinen zwei Hauptberufen, Musiker und Autor. Von Element of Crime gibt es inzwischen 15 Studioalben. Ihr letztes “Schafe, Monster und Mäuse” war der Soundtrack für den ersten Lockdown. Sein neuer Roman “Glitterschnitter” ist gerade erschienen, spielt wieder im Kreuzberg der 80er Jahre und bringt das Ensemble um die Romanfigur Frank Lehmann zusammen. Was mich an Sven fasziniert ist, dass er von Anfang an einen unverkennbaren Stil hatte – als Musiker und als Autor und es ist ihm gelungen, den zu bewahren. Ich will wissen, wie er diesen Kern gefunden hat und wie er ihn verteidigt. Sven hat den guten Satz gesagt: “Als Exzentriker gibt es keinen Ersatz für einen.” Wann fing sein anders sein an?
