I Svjetlana se nažalost susrela s nedostatkom citostatika u Kliničkom centru Univerziteta u Sarajevu. "Nakon što je karcinom dijagnosticiran predložene su mi kemoterapije kako bi se karcinom zaustavio, trebala sam da primim šest ciklusa terapija, međutim, u samom startu jednog lijeka nije bilo i morala sam ga nabaviti u Hrvatskoj. U svojoj toj situaciji sredstava morate nabaviti odmah, a refundacija novca je moguća samo ako imate odobren lijek, ali lijeka jednostavno u tom momentu nema. Terapiju koju trenutno primam ne plaćam, dobivam lijek preko Fonda, a u prvom ciklusu sam ga platila 1000 KM, pije se 21 dan, svaki mjesec sam trebala imati 1.000 KM", podvukla je Svjetlana. Lijekovi koji će Svjetlani najvjerovatnije trebati u budućnosti na bosanskohercegovačkom tržištu ne postoje. Ova Sarajka se s pravom pita koliko u našoj zemlji košta život?!
