from Laura Sebastianelli Hosted by Laura Sebastianelli

Swainson's and Hermit Thrushes, Schoodic Pennisula, Adadia National Park, Maine. Mostly they are alternating but sometimes sing over each other's voice, and the Hermit is a bit farther away than the Swainson's. The Hermit is the voice with the "sustained whistle" as the lead-in. There are PWUT and PWUT-BURR calls of the Swainson's as well as the song. (There is a Black-capped Chickadee in there occassioanally too. As well as lobster boats, surf on rocky coast, and bouy bells ringing.) Recorded 4:03am, Fostex FR2, Sennheiser ME 62 -- as part of 2 hour dawn chorus recording. Edited in Audacity: HPF250 w/12db rolloff. Leveled -3. from B03h43m07s28jun2017y
