IT’S TIME FOR MORE STAR WARS MONSTER STORIES! Mike is delving into the canon comics by IDW Publishing; Return To Vader’s Castle – 5 more horror stories with many familiar faces, character information & connections all perfect for any lover of horror & Star Wars! This episode includes Vader, Darth Maul, Asajj Ventress, Tarkin, Jabba The Hutt & B’omarr Monks, zombies, sarlaccs, Frankenstein-like monsters and a whole bunch of references & connections to Star Wars and horror movies! The continuous story is set somewhere in the original trilogy era (between 0ABY - 4ABY) and the other stories are all over the prequel & original trilogy era! The writer for these comics was Cavan Scott and Francesco Francavilla is the artist & colour artist for the continuous story. The guest artists are Megan Levens, Kelley Jones, Nick Brokenshire, Nicoletta Baldari & Charles Paul Wilson III and the guest colour artists are Charlie Kirchoff, Michelle Madsen, Nick Brokenshire, Nicoletta Baldari & David Garcia Cruz. Issues 1-5 were released in October 2019, the trade paperback collection was released March 2020 and the hardcover collection of this & the previous collection; Tales Of Vaders Castle was released January 2021. The first batch of Vader’s Castle stories was tackled in episode 76 of SWCIC. Mike delved into all four volumes of 2017 Vader in ep 62, 66, 70 & 74 of SWCIC. For the 2015 Vader run (set after A New Hope), check out episodes 15, 17, 19, 23 & 29 of SWCIC, for the 2020 run of Vader comics, check episodes 79 & 81 of SWCIC and check ep 41 for the Vader: Dark Visions anthology mini-series and ep 49 is the Target Vader mini-series.
