Johnston Mailbag Questions 1.) Valerie Moore - Greetings exhalted one, allow me to introduce myself. I am Valerie Moore, long-time listener and fan of the Star Wars Canon Podcast. I'm sending you this question in hopes of maybe finally getting a real answer out of someone who knows what they're talking about when it comes to canon books. What is the biggest difference between the old EU books and the new canon books? I've never read any of the EU. Is there really a drop in quality or are people just too attached to what came before? Love to hear your thoughts. 2.) Ian Park - Hey Brian! Hope all is well with you and your's. Congrats on the youngling coming later this year! I gotta know, do you think we'll ever get that Obi-Wan movie now, or is it dead in the water? Thank you for all the effort you put into this channel and podcast. Can't be easy having a day job, a family, and doing all this. Hope your podcast soars brother! 3.) Josh Butler - Can we talk about this Grand Moff Tarkin comic? Holy shit! 4.) Brent Marshall - Brian! Hope to hear an answer from you on this. Just walked out of Avengers Endgasm (my new name for the film) and it got me thinking. If that epic battle is how they sum up 11 years of comic book movies, ep 9 is going to be insane considering they're wrapping up 40+ years of Star Wars movies. Do you think we'll get our minds blown again this December? Or do you think it'll fall flat after everyone has witnessed the Endgame? Love the podcast bro! 5.) Dave Warner - Now that we've seen footage from "Mandalorian" is it possible Jon Favreau's next Star Wars project could be a live-action film? I think it's inevitable since Rian Johnson is no longer on Star Wars and am so ready for this show. Thoughts? 6.) Nicholas Warner - I heard you say on your last episode that you think we'll get more canon material between 6 and 7 once 9 comes out. I don't disagree with your reasoning at all. As a matter of fact, I subscribe to that belief now. If this is the case, are we going to see Thrawn in 9 and if so how big of a role do you think he'll play in the film? Just found your podcast during celebration and subscribed. Keep up the great work.
