SWCP Episode 6: "The Last Jedi" Has The Highest Blu-Ray Sales of 2018

from Star Wars Canon Podcast · host Star Wars Canon Podcast

A couple of big news stories this week, and the Canon Podcast has got you covered on the new canon material!  News -"The Last Jedi" is the most successful Blu-Ray release of 2018 -Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy is set to receive Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award -Hasbro has announced their first international convention exclusive figures -Disney announces "Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide" -EA and Respawn Entertainment teased their newest Star Wars game at E3 this year, revealing the title to be "Jedi: Fallen Order"  Newly released canon: -Marvel's "The Last Jedi" #6 -Marvel's "Darth Vader: Dark Lord Of The Sith" #21  Upcoming Canon This Week: -Marvel's "Star Wars" #54 -Marvel's "Lando: Double Or Nothing" #5 -IDW's "Star Wars Adventures" #14  Mailbag Questions  1.) Jamie Holbeche - Hey, I saw your August livestream and when the discussion on 'A world between worlds' was happening, i forgot to mention. Disney and Lucasfilm said that Episode 9 would tie all of the eras and trilogies together, what if in episode 9, Rey or whoever finds the world between worlds? I think this would be extremely interesting and i'd love to see it return so that we can learn even more about it.  2.) Jack Mallard - After seeing solo I loved it, I don't know how people can say it's terrible. My question is will there be a solo 2 or a book to carry on from where the film left of? due to the unexpected charicter reveal at the end. I'd love to find out what happened to certain charicters after the end of the film. Also, I found the trailers mislead me a lot regarding the focus of the film. Love the videos, keep it up!  3.) Mason Sellers - What's up with the dislikes on the resistance trailer? That's insane. I mean, I get why people don't like it, but that bad? Really? What are your thoughts?  4.) Jamie Parrish - Hey Brian, is there any reason at all right now that the Legends "Old Republic" stuff couldn't be made canon? I really loved those old books and would love to see the return or Darth Bane and Darth Revan to canon. Loving the new podcast! Keep doing what you're doing.  5.) Aaron Coffin - I love Cad Bane. One of my favorite Star Wars characters ever. My question is, do you think we'll see him again? And if so, how would you like to see it go down?  6.) Kent Sommerhold - So excited for Episode 9! Everything we've heard as far as casting goes, set photos, and returning characters has got me so pumped. I had my issues with TLJ, but I'm one of those rare few that actually understands it's the second film in a trilogy, so I'm going easy on it until I see 9. First off, for the record, what are your thoughts on TLJ? And second, do you think episode 9 will deliver? Do you think it will reunite the fanbase? Thanks for everything you do, man! Big fan.  7.) Alexander Cummings - So did everyone just forget about the Knights Of Ren? I thought for sure we'd see them again in Episode 8, but they weren't even mentioned. Like, at all. When do you think they're going to pop up again, and will we see them in action? Thanks for taking my question.  Original score composed by Brook Munro LIKE on Facebook at: www.facebook.com/starwarscanonlibrary FOLLOW on Spotify SUBSCRIBE on iTunes SUBSCRIBE to my YouTube channel E-MAIL me at: [email protected]
