Sweet and Lowdown

Woody Allen and Sean Penn seem like a very unlikeable combination so imagine our surprise when this "slight" romantic comedy from the prolific director is mostly charming... and that's thanks mostly to the Academy Award nominated performance here by Samantha Morton. Does that save us from Film Twitter attacks for covering this? Probably not but then again we are a slight movie podcast that the world mostly ignores. A perfect combination for an episode on SWEET AND LOWDOWN!
