It said, "Go and take the scroll that is open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and the land." So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the scroll. He said, "Take it and eat it. It will taste sweet like honey in your mouth, but it will make your stomach feel bitter." I took the scroll from his hand and ate it. It was as sweet as honey when I tasted it, but afterward, it made my stomach turn sour. Then I was told, "You must speak again, delivering God’s message to many people, nations, languages, and leaders." Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 119:14, 24, 72, 103, 111, 131Response: How sweet your promises are to me, Lord! I find joy in following your instructions, as much as I would in great riches. Response: How sweet your promises are to me, Lord! Your words guide me and bring me delight; they are my trusted advisors. Response: How sweet your promises are to me, Lord! The truth you teach is more valuable to me than piles of gold and silver. Response: How sweet your promises are to me, Lord! Your promises are as sweet as honey to my taste, filling me with joy. The religious leaders and teachers of the law, along with other leaders, wanted to kill Him.
