Spoiler: It doesn’t. Fisher’s attempt at optimism fell flat as the team’s uncertain future continues to alienate fans. Attendance numbers dropped sharply after Opening Day, and if the product on the field doesn’t improve, it’s hard to see how this “temporary” situation doesn’t become an even bigger embarrassment.
