You have to be convinced and determined to swim upstream, against the general downward tide, which could even sweep dead fish along as well as pollutants. We may feel we have more support and comfort amongst the masses. However, the water becomes fresher and clearer the nearer to its source so, as we travel upwards, we become stronger and healthier. Also, we are in the company of other positive, strong and healthy people who provide timely and appropriate support. Can you see that God is that fresh pure source? The Body of Christ is following the Way of the upward stream.
