Send us Fan Mail The Nintendo Switch 2 is out and at an eye-watering price, comparable to a console like the PS5 or XBox, but without the full entertainment system capabilities yet people seem to be lining up for it. Is mobile playing such a convincing argument, is it the 8 years since the original released in 2017? The performance and gameplay seem very strong and Nintendo fans may be the ones that ultimately ensure its success with its proprietary set of Nintendo games with likely nostalgia contributing to its success. Switch 2 users are being sent back down memory lane and seem to be mostly content with playing a mix of old games and new versions of them. Many are likely what's been termed "kidults" and as such now have a degree of spending power they didn't have when many of these properties first came out as well when some of the most popular titles first came out. For them, it is a fun experience. Judging by the lines when the Switch 2 became available, one would think we went back in time some 10 years ago when a new iPhone was released.
