However, trackwork is replacing trains with buses between Lidcombe and Olympic Park, and heat-related speed restrictions could cause delays in the Blue Mountains. The lift at Lidcombe station will be closed for upgrades until March.   Despite the heat, Sydney offers a host of vibrant events: The Sydney Festival celebrates First Nations artists with over 130 shows, including more than 50 free events.
