from Wake Up Sydney

Wake Up Sydney Podcast - Weather, Traffic, and Trains Update Wake Up Sydney - September 3rd, 2024: Weather, Traffic, and Train Updates Welcome to your early morning catch up on the Wake Up Sydney podcast with your host, Johnny Rocket! Today's essential updates cover weather, traffic, and train services for Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024. Whether you’re planning your commute or a day out, we’ve got you covered with all the latest information.   Starting with the weather: Sydney CBD is basking in sunshine with temperatures hitting a comfortable high of 19°C. Don’t be fooled by the brisk winds though — they might make it feel a bit chillier than expected. Similar sunny but breezy conditions prevail in Parramatta and the beautiful Bondi Beach. A perfect opportunity to soak in some vitamin D while wearing a cozy jacket.   On the roads: Traffic alerts are in place with several disruptions. Carlisle Avenue in Colyton is temporarily closed due to a car fire — consider taking a detour via the Great Western Highway. In Ryde, look out for slowdowns caused by a truck breakdown on Devlin Street. Moreover, a multi-car accident on the Warringah Freeway in North Sydney is significantly impacting northbound traffic flow. Be sure to plan extra time if you’re traveling through these areas.   Regarding train services, we’re facing major cancellations: The North Shore Line and Central Coast & Newcastle Line have suspended services between Hornsby and Berowra. Unfortunately, no replacement buses are available today, and there will also be no stops at Mount Colah station. Check your routes and seek alternative travel options if necessary.   Johnny concludes today’s podcast by reminding us of Sydney’s breathtaking scenery and the ever-present community spirit. Despite the rush and the occasional disruptions, there’s always something in Sydney to cherish. Don’t forget to tune back in tomorrow for more updates!
