SYLLABLE SWING
from Poetry · host Steven Richardson
When children first acquire their tongue they sing along like a fledglings song and on the first day of spring they chirp their rhyming swing which to them is a brand new play thing without any of our restraining ring , their simple melodic crooning needs no interference or fine tuning but unfortunately then school comes along with its lexicon Lego box tongue "dislexicating " what was once a beautiful song leaving that innocent syllable swing broken the veritable birds fragile wing. kids then become too frightened to fly and drag their dislocated diction ar in a sling untill eventually as teenagers they at last cut loose from our apron string and once again learn to sing.
