In the dead of night as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. And now... Hey, welcome to the Supernatural Hour.

This is your host, Raven, and with us is Rogue. Chad. And Klaus. And we're super excited to be here.

So let's just take care of some business, get it out of the way really quick. For the business. We also have a new investigation coming up. Is the Barbra Coast saloon in Sandy or Draper or South Salt Lake?

I think that's considered Murray right there. 4100 South State. I would say Murray. Murray.

So we're excited on that. It's going to be a witching hour. Start at 2am kind of event. And if you have never been to a witching hour event, those can get crazy.

Make sure you take a nap before you get there. Yes. And that's the night of the 18th going into the 19th, Friday night going into Saturday morning. Yes.

So it's really an early Saturday morning investigation. Be aware of that and we're looking forward to having early fun time there. We did kind of a preliminary investigation there just to make sure it was haunted. And the stories from the employees and the patrons there, we knew it was haunted.

But it's like, let's make sure we get some activity because we don't want to take people there and have it be a dead. And I think it's going to be hot. It's going to be hopping. We had a lot of activity just in the few minutes that we were there from being touched, whispered to other things that we had going on.

Right. And we only investigated and I'm just going to use my air quotes there. I'm not very long, but 15, 20 minutes. Right.

And then we did go in for dinner beforehand. So we had a little bit of time upstairs to have a little bit of experience. Right. And they've got a really good little flat iron steak on Thursday nights.

Oh, and steak. I was a steak person. They have a cream cheese stuffed pretzel drizzled with chocolate and caramel. She gets it every time we go there.

And I do believe they're going to do some kind of a food buffet simple lish. That could be something we could request maybe for them to have some of those out there. I'm just going to have one for me. Yeah.

But that is going to be part of the part of the entrance fee is that they will have a little buffet of a favor foods. And it is going to be two, three, four in the morning, five in the morning, one around there. So it's not going to be a heavy, heavy meal. Right.

But just something to snack on to help keep you awake. The fires will be closed. So there'll be some red bull, some coffee, some potato chips. That all sounds so soft drinks.

Yeah. Well, and then they gave us something. You know, they said they'd have some right before they turn the fires off. They'll cook some, you know, french fries and fried foods.

There we go. All right. All right. French fries are only good when they're warm.

So you got to eat it fast. Well, and then they'll let's investigate. So make sure to join us for that one. All right.

So here we are for residential. And honestly, it's been some really nice weather here in Utah. People are getting out with people getting out. Nice, sir.

It's still pretty cold. Well, you know, it was 80 degrees a couple of weeks ago. So then it was also like 43. It's bringing you to my polar.

Definitely not on medication. It was so beautiful tonight that we did the Union Square investigation. Right. It was, it was, you didn't even need a jacket that night.

It was beautiful. And now you go out in the three o'clock in the afternoon and it's 50 degrees and you're wind blowing in your shiver. Mm hmm. Exactly.

So as Chad mentioned, the Union Square investigation. So we haven't had any residential's, but we had our big public investigation. And that went really well. I was only in part of the investigation.

So down where I was able to take my group, we were able to get EDPs. We got some really good tracers. That was a really good investigation for us on our part. And then Raven had her team over in a different area and they had some really good experiences.

So we were over, there's one of the buildings we had. The whole building is empty with maybe one or two offices on the third floor. And I guess the second floor, there's like a basement main floor upstairs. Right.

And we went upstairs and it was really cool. There was just nothing up there. So we actually went back down to the basement, but the basement, there was all sorts of stuff going on. We got great EDPs.

We got some really awesome photographs. How about the blumish, the blue, the blue flurfing? Right. So in one of the rooms where we were getting the most activity and just everybody that went down there went towards this room and just said, ooh, this room is really creepy.

And you know, you turn your phone on and you're seeing, you know, like we've talked about before, you watch which direction the dust goes in and then you watch for things that are different from the dust and then anything that's kind of cigar shaped and you can tell bugs, you can tell how bugs move. So you watch for things that aren't dust and aren't bugs and we were getting a lot of that and I'm taking pictures. And when I take pictures, I could take 50 pictures and maybe only get two or three, you know, snapshots of these tracers. And this one that we got because we kept getting, you know, through the Dowsing Rods and through the Ghost Meter Pro, we were getting that there was a child there.

I think it was a little boy. And one of these pictures that I have and I will put it up on our Facebook page here soon. And we'll try to tie it in on the YouTube also. At the same time as we're talking about this.

There's this little, it almost looks like a head peaking around the corner and it's blue and I've never gotten a blue when I say orb. I use that word very lightly. I never get a blue orb or, you know, just a tracer. You know, or just the, you see that you can see the tracer, but when you get the photo, you just see part of it.

You just see, you know, just the one split second. And it's pretty solid. And when you go in to get a more detailed look, you can really kind of get some details within that picture. Right.

So, and usually you'll either gray or maybe white or maybe a little bit yellowish, but this one's blue and there's nothing down there that would ever fall into blue. It's a completely empty building. Yeah. And that room as being a completely empty room, everyone kept walking through the center of that room thinking we were running into some construction wall or some type of material and it was just an empty room.

Now, there had been a wall there. You can see where they had taken the wall out. But you didn't know that until you turn the light on in the room. But yeah, several people would go out and around to get on the other side.

And I'd think, why did you do that? Just, and they're like, well, there's a wall there. Oh, there's not. Yeah.

Yeah. So, like being a ghost? That is a creepy little wall. It's a ghost wall.

I think it's sense of presence. Exactly. So, but the thing about that venue is it was enormous. There were so many places to go.

And just the way it worked out, I was in the first building the whole time. We were definitely going to go back there. Yeah. Well, don't forget.

So, you were in the first building and then I took them over to the other and then we pulled the teams together and we went up to the mirror. And that mirror, we got some, that's where we got the really good EVP. And we got some really creepy pictures in that mirror. And it's a portal.

Right. And there's a, what did we name him? Oh. I forgot his name.

I remember his name. We, we gave him a name and he wasn't really happy that we were chapped with him. He was not. He was not.

But he had a, he stuck around and he was entertaining us for quite some time. I have to go listen to the EVP because, oh, was it Lester? I think you're, I think that's what I was thinking of when you said that. That's Lester because in the EVP I'm asking him if he likes the name Lester, which he doesn't and that's right.

And that's why you use it? Yeah. Uncle Lester? Yes.

That's better. That's better. Oh, my bad. I'm not going to say something like, can we call you Lester?

Do you like that name? And it's just right after that that we get around. Some kind of a little noise and you go, did somebody just whisper? Yeah.

And I didn't hear it. And I don't think you heard it either. No, I was in the staircase. Yeah.

It was the, because it was kind of a long skinny hallway. And so it was the people that were further down the hallway that heard it. Yeah. So we've got that.

And we had our team with us that had the videographer. So we've got some video coming out on that one. Right. And you were in a staircase that had an interesting fellow on it.

We do have a staircase over in the building that I had taken the team to a young man who took his life a few years ago. And he really liked his place of employment. And he is not going to leave and wants to hang out. And he was quite entertaining.

He would entertain up the ghost pro, the K2. He was giving everybody photos. He grabbed my butt. He was entertaining.

Roke on election. I did. And well, Roke's single. So it's not going to end up like what last week's I'm so little or getting married to a ghost.

I'm not that pathetic yet. Give me some time. No, so that was a good investigation. If you missed it, you missed really a great one.

And like I said a minute ago, we are definitely going to go back there. Maybe we can go back this fall or something. The guests really enjoyed it. I heard a lot of extremely positive comments about it.

And that was the first time we'd ever investigated there. And there was one area. Maybe, I think, did you go there was one area when we did kind of our preliminary investigation. We ran across a lady from the 1800s.

Did we ever get to that section? So my team went up there very first. And so many stairs. So many stairs.

So the first team we went up there, and there was no activity. There was nothing. She didn't come out to talk to us. We weren't getting anything.

So when the second team came, we really focused on the young man that really wanted to play the show for us. So we didn't go back up. Oh, and Roke, there's a really cool shop there. That shop would be Utah Freeze Drive for Petits last Rescue Pet's bathhouse.

We like them. We like them a lot. Yes, we do. And that was one of our meeting spots.

So 10 of our people that were there. Don't forget us. So, yeah, super cool investigation. We're excited to go back and we're excited for our summer season.

It's going to be a lot of fun. All right. So we are working on figuring out what we're going to do for our Insiders event this summer. We're working on some things there.

So that's only going to be available to Insiders. So if you'd like to attend that, I'll become an Insider. We'll get some information about what that's going to be. You can bring yourself and a number of other people and there's no cost for our Insiders.

Is that our Patreon? Yes, our Patrons are our Insiders. Thank you. We give them a fancy name.

I like that. So today we're going to talk a little bit about psychics and mediums and psychic mediums. And I want to talk a little bit before we jump into our main topic person, just a little bit about psychics and mediums. They are not the same thing.

And if you go online, like anything else in the whole world, you're going to find a hundred different explanations. So what I try to do is I read a whole bunch of different definitions, tried to get the general, the biggest general idea from everybody. So if you disagree with me, that's okay, because there's lots of people on the internet that will agree with you. So we tried to get the most accurate information we could get.

So a medium, if you are missing someone that's passed on and you just say, you know, I want to make contact with them, you want to get a hold of the medium. Mediums are the ones that talk to the dead. If they give you a reading, it means the reader can communicate with entities that we can't see, but they can. They can see them.

They can hear them. And they're for the reading, you know, the information. You know, think of it as, you know, when you think of a medium, like when you're doing art, what's the medium? It's a pencil, it's a pen, it's watercolors.

Chalk. Chalk. Ooh, except I can't, even the same chalk is really, it feels so gross. Chalk.

Stop it, you're fired. So it's kind of the medium. The medium is the person that's getting the information and giving it to you. And one of the ways it was described several times on the internet is, you know, medium, you think of the other's high, there's low, there's medium, it's something in the middle.

And so that medium is the middle person between the person wanting the information, which is the human and the person giving the information, which is the spirit. So that's one way you can think about it. Now one of the things that it says on there is when you're contacting a medium to get a reading, it's really important to ask them if they're one that talks to the data. Because there are some that channel, there are some that calls that will maybe be a medium for angels or spirit guides or specific entity.

So if you're wanting to actually speak to someone who's past, you need to ask that medium. That would be like a relative or a specific person. Yeah. Exactly.

So I would like your reading, can you speak specifically with Uncle Joe or, you know, is that what you do? Right. It's going to be your higher self or exactly. So do you call that like medium language?

Yes. Like they speak a different language. I mean, they wouldn't see like the entity or I mean, they can see the entity, but it depends on what they are. Like you said, an angel or a spirit guide, they would have their own spirit language then because they would be able to communicate with one or the community with another.

Right. And I think it's, you know, I've worked with a lot of mediums and I'm going to get into my personal feeling on mediums here in a minute. But every medium I've run into works just a little differently. Some can see something, some can see other things.

Yeah. So I think they all have their own language. Yeah. John Edwards with his show Crossing Over and it's been a number of years back.

He's a medium that will do readings and audiences and they're really quite interesting. But he says he sees things like he'll see flowers or questions that it's symbolism that means something to him. His eyebrows. So you're familiar with this?

I actually seen him. He came to Salt Lake City and I was in the crowd. Oh, awesome. Very cool, isn't it?

It really is. And I've been amazed of the reactions of people in the crowd with John Edwards and the way he does it. It's just, it's really interesting because, you know, some people might say, oh, he's just good at cold reading or reading a crowd. He's, you know, he'll talk to people and, you know, he says he envisions or receives things that are symbolic to him, which mean different things or a position of where they are, different things like that.

So very interesting. Like I say, it's kind of like Klaus said, kind of almost a language or an interpreter for a translator for the dead. For someone else. Exactly.

And it doesn't matter if they're speaking to a specific, I'm going to talk to your uncle or your aunt or your grandma or if it's an angel, but they're talking to somebody else and getting information and giving it to you. Whereas a psychic, a psychic is more like you're seeking clarity for yourself. You're not trying to get information from other people. You're trying to get some insight on you and find out what's going on in your life, getting validation on the topic of some sort, you know, like, you know, what, where do you feel?

You know, I'm stuck in my job. What, where should I go with that? So you know, how I want to move forward in my life, you know, something that pertains just to you. That's when you want to go to a psychic.

Is psychic tarot reading, does that include it in that type of thing? You know, this didn't get that in depth. But I would think so because that's going to be just for you. Right.

You're not necessarily dealing with someone else. Palm reading. I think palm reading leaves and teacups, anything that's just about you. And you have it.

It says specifically they do not communicate with it. Now I would think that you could have a psychic medium, you know, that does most maybe what you know, he might be a little more heavy on the psychic part. You might be a little more heavy on the medium part, but I think you could have both. Might be a medium, medium small, medium large.

I'm a small medium medium. Medium. Right here. So it says when contacting a psychic, it's really important to ask them how they receive the information that they get from you because you have to be comfortable with it.

You have to have faith in it. Like if you don't have faith in tarot cards, don't go to a psychic that that's their medium. See how I did. Done.

I need a sound board here for you so you can, you know, have your corny joke and stuff to be fun. Let's do that. We can work on that. Okay.

We'll have corny sounds coming to you. So here it does say that tarot cards is one of the more popular ways. Okay. See that until just jump down that way.

So they usually don't do tools. Some might just use a pen and paper and just impressions that they get. They might just write things down. So that's the difference.

So if you want, if you want to talk to the dead or your spirit guides or angels, go to a medium. If you want some clarity about your life path or different things than your life, go to a psychic. Interesting. So do you think that a psychic is a gift or is it something that they teach themselves to do with where I would think a medium is definitely a gift?

So here's where we come to. This is, and I'm just going to put this out there. This is my personal feelings on psychic medium. I do think that everybody on the planet has spiritual gifts.

Whether or not you tap into those, whether or not you even figure out what they are or care, I think everybody has one. Your spiritual gift might not even be anything to do with paranormal. It could be something completely different. But I think everybody has a gift.

I think every person on the planet can feel spirits where I get in trouble sometimes with psychics and mediums is, in my opinion, paranormal and religion. Just go hand in hand and you can't separate those. And you can disagree with me. That's not, I don't care.

That's what my feeling is. And so for me, I'm very, very careful with psychics and mediums because if it's a true gift, I'm going to move into them. I don't want to discredit that, but there are a lot that might get their gift, and I'm going to use their quotes. Their gift might come from a type three.

They might be getting it from the wrong side, in my opinion. And so I'm very, very careful when I deal with someone that says that they're a psychic or a medium. And is that because of the use of the tools such as the tarot cards or such that we don't know who's really feeding that information? In my opinion, yes.

So yes, I'm very careful with that aspect because I like my religion. I like being a member of my religion. I don't want to get kicked out. But I do think people have gifts.

And I'm not saying that there's not mediums and psychics out there. I'm just careful when I discuss them and who I send people to, if they want that information, because I don't want to be sending people to the wrong sorts. Yeah, I agree. So that kind of segues us right into our main topic of the day.

Yeah, so we delved into Yuri Giller a few podcasts ago. And he was more into telekinesis tonight. That would be a little more like psychic kinds of gifts with the telekinesis and Perkin. Yes, because he's not talking to people.

But even with the telekinesis, I don't know that you're going to gain clarity. By vending spoons. I don't know. Anyway, we've already discussed Yuri Giller.

We're not revisiting him. We're going to talk about Sylvia Brown. And Rogue, you actually have kind of a more personal connection to her than the rest of us do. So I'm going to let you start off.

Oh, well, that's really almost kind of creepy other than the fact that my dear mother does have her picture with Sylvia Brown. And I'll get a copy of that. And we'll put that up on our YouTube channel. So I also have a book.

I have actually, I think I've been with mom to see Sylvia Brown. But I have her obituary here that I thought was kind of sad and kind of interesting all at the same time. So is that kind of what you're referring to? Yeah.

So why don't you start off with reading her obituary? All right. Do you want me to read? It's just like a funeral.

That's what they always do. Don't. That's some sad. No, can I get some sad music or some sad little TV for that one?

OK. Yeah. We want to be marching. Marching.

Marching. That's what I want to read. Something. We need to make a little wish list of sounds we need.

Yeah. I would like that would be hilarious. OK. So Sylvia Brown's obituary.

Sylvia Brown was born October 19, 1936. And she passed away November 20, 2013, leaving her 77. So Sylvia Brown, a psychic whose frequent appearances on shows such as Larry King Live and the Montel William Show, made her a popular personality, has died at the hospital in San Jose, California hospitals. Officials confirmed on Thursday she was 77.

Good Samaritan Hospital spokesman Leslie Kelsey said Brown died Wednesday. She said she could not disclose further details. Brown said she believed in reincarnation and could help people communicate with their dead loved ones as well as, sorry about that. We're going to start with that again.

Let's see. Brown said she believed in reincarnation and could help her people communicate with their dead loved ones as well as see the future. She was a regular on the Montel William Show, where she fielded questions on topics ranging from marriage and career to ghosts. Brown was criticized after telling the mother of Ohio kidnapping victim Amanda Berry on the show in 2004 that her daughter was dead.

Berry and two other women were later found alive. They had been held captive for years. Brown grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, where her psychic abilities began to manifest themselves at the age of three, according to the obituary on her website. She founded two nonprofits, the Nirvana Foundation for Psychic Research and the Society of Novus Spiritus, and was the author of dozens of books, many of which appeared on the New York Times bestseller list, according to the obituary.

And I have one of those books. So do you want me to keep on? Yeah. And then we'll call it a night, because that's not all the information we have.

You're not wrong. Not really. There's more. It does kind of obituary is to kind of send your life up, I guess, right?

Her 2009 book, Temples of the Other Side, was intended to help people understand where they go after they die. She told Montel Williams. So you just don't float around. She said, you can go to Hall of Messengers, where you can talk to Jesus.

You can go to the Hall of Reconnection, where you can connect with someone you love. In a statement included in the obituary on Brown's website, Williams called her a friend. A beacon that shined for so many was extinguished today. But its brightness was relit and will now shine forever for many of us from above, he said.

And I hope he said it much better than I did. Brown is survived by her husband and two sons. And we have to step that in there, because in the research we found that one of her sons is taking mom's lead and he is following her in her footsteps perfectly and he is now a medium psychic guy. So the sad thing, I think about this obituary, is that they call her out as a fraud in the obituary.

Oh, right. She couldn't even die in peace. And she passed away. So that happened in 2004 and she passed away in 2013.

So nine years later, they couldn't even leave her alone. Researching her, bless her heart. When we talk about some of these people, we're not trying to say that they are full on medium, totally believe them everywhere they say. They're not trying to say they're a total fraud.

We're just trying to give you the information that we find and you can make your own decision. That being said, there wasn't a whole lot of people that really bought in. I found more negative about her than positive. And obviously people believed in her because she made cops money.

Gops. I'm going to say, don't people are buying into her. But depending on how accurate she was, she may have not been the greatest services because she got a lot of negative or one-star reviews. Or fell out of favor.

I mean, one time was in favor of time, prove some of the predictions not so accurate. Right. At one time on the Montel Williams show, she had been given a psychic success rate of 87% to 90%. And then it wasn't just a few years later, there was a magazine that gave her success rate a zero.

Oh, wow. About that. There was a, on my research end, she was a psychic detective case worker, I guess. And she had 35 cases.

Of those 35 cases, 21 of them were two vague predictions to be accurately, like, say, validated, validated, yeah, validated. And 14 of those cases, she was of no use. And that was just as she was a psychic detective. And then a study later in her life of 115 cases.

In 25 of those cases where they were known outcomes, she didn't get any one of those right. And then of the rest, they were an unknown predictive, but there was no real way to validate or to have substance of her prediction. So yeah, she's a percent. Right.

So as I was kind of reading and compiling all this data and research as I was perusing through the internet, I almost get the impression that she, I do think she has some gifts. And I think she had a few things spot on for some people. And then I think she got a little overconfident and started getting bigger and broader. And I think if she had stayed small and just stayed focused, she probably would have been okay.

But I think the fame and fortune kind of cut old and she started just kind of wacky. Do you think something like that where you take your gift and you start making money from it? Do you think that hamper or dampens your capability? Because if you're a gift from a higher beam of whatever religion or a deity that you believe in, if it's a gift from that deity, you would think that person or entity would be like, you know what, you're using the gift that I gave you to help people, but you're doing it the wrong way.

So I'm gonna kind of scale it back a little bit so you don't get as strong predictions or reminitions or readings off the people. I absolutely agree with you. And I have to be careful because I have some very dearest friends ever that will give people readings for money, but they don't charge them exorbitant amounts. And they...

Now Larry King asked her an interesting question on that. You know, because he said, hey, if I had these psychic abilities and these things, he said, you know, I'd be done with racetrack making money. And she said, you can't do that because you can't use that gift to benefit yourself. Right.

Because it doesn't work out. She says, for example, I can't, you know, she'd had several failed marriages. And she goes, I couldn't psychically predict for my own future the outcomes of these marriages. And I thought that was very interesting.

And I think just as class was kind of talking about there, maybe if you're taking that and trying to monetize that gift for your better, not for the better, but for the other people necessarily, or trying to do both, but doing that, do you maybe lose that spiritual gift? See, and that's what I think. I think if you get too deep into the monetizing, your spiritual gift is going to be taken from you. My personal belief, and I'm gonna have a lot of people that don't like hearing that, that's my belief.

If you don't believe it, don't believe it. But I personally wouldn't monetize a gift. I mean, making $13 million a year. And that seems like you monetized your gift pretty good.

Yeah, well, and it said in some cases, she would actually charge police departments $400 per case to work on. I don't know if it was per case or per contact or it just said $400. I was gonna say along with that, she was very well compensated. She charged $750 for 30 minute reading.

At her death, she had a four year backup call list of people to do that. Wow. Wow. I think, I do think she had a gift.

I think a bigger gift though, was about two people. She had to sell herself. She knew how to work at the market. She's got the books.

Yeah, something like, I think I've got it here. Is $1,500 an hour. You think you could get by on that, Rogue? I could.

You could probably straight by. Yeah. She had, I think it was something like 35 or 36. Books published?

Yeah, and 25 of them were New York Times best sellers. And there's, I mean, and writing the book and selling it is not selling your gift, I would think. But you can sell a book. No, but it's part of the monetization.

Right. And there's nothing wrong with monetizing things. I mean, we're trying to do that a little bit with our podcast and things to help to free costs and do things with our patrons. And we appreciate that.

And we're not putting that down, but we're just. And I believe there's intent involved too. What is your intent? Is your intent to help people?

Is your intent, you know, just to make yourself a lot of money? Ultimately, and I know I've got some friends that are listening to this that do charge for readings. Ultimately, what is the intent that you're doing? And ultimately, we all have to, in my opinion, address what we have done in our lives with our maker.

That's something between the two of you. I mean, if you're paying 20 bucks for reading, that's pretty cool. I mean, I could get down with that, but it's $750 for 20 minutes of your time. Holy cow.

Yeah. I think there's a lot of different factors. And it's what you feel good about doing, what people will pay for. So that's a really, I know it sounds like I'm dancing around the subject and I am.

She's literally dancing. Well, but it's bad intent. It's about, you know, where are you getting this gift from? How you use it?

I personally wouldn't charge if I had a gift, but that is, that's me. If you do, I'm not going to judge you because it's not my place. Right. Well, you also think people that do have gifts or readings or are able to do that things, does it actually take a toll on that person's body?

Like do they feel drained afterwards? Because I have a friend who, when they do readings, they feel very drained. It's very cumbersome on that body. I mean, if you're doing that all the time, for free, you can see why people are like, you know what?

I can't keep doing this and not getting compensated in some sort of way, right? Because if they're doing that, they're not doing something else to make money and make a living. And so, and then they're tired and they're not, you know, they're using their energy that they could be to get, you know, like a normal job that most of us have here. But it at least gives that person some sort of compensation for the use of their energy and their body, you know?

And that's not necessarily a horrible thing. For me, it comes down to intent. You know, what is the intent? What is your purpose?

And then you can take that up with God when that time comes. Definitely. Yeah, I did look it up. It was 57 books that she wrote and 25 of them were New York Times Specialers.

She had a very, very big following. I mean, she's a world-renowned psychic, a medium. None of them post anything on Google. So let's talk a little bit about some of her predictions.

As you said in her bituary, she did tell Amanda Barry's mother that Amanda was no longer around. And turned out that not only was she around, she'd been kept alive with two other gals in Ariel Castro's home in Ohio and Cleveland, I believe. And not only was she alive, she had a baby. I watched the Montale show when she did the reading.

And she's so blunt. She's like, oh, sorry, you'll see her on the other side. She was killed. She was killed in water.

And she was very cold-hearted and very matter-of-fact about it when she was talking to her. And she said, your daughter's not the kind who wouldn't call. I heard an interesting one about that too. And I'll tell you what, we talked about that.

Some of the people have defended Sylvia Brown a little bit on that that said, because Sylvia Brown died before her daughter was found. And so their claim was, well, see, she will see her on the other side, because she's going to die before her daughter died. But as Rogue just said, she said that she had drowned and she had drowned in water. And that the child had died in the show.

So I didn't buy that other explanation that, oh, the mother would see her in heaven. Right. Right. Now did the mother die in water?

No. Maybe she got the wrong premonition there. She got the other one wrong. I'm not sure.

I think the mom just died of a laser. I don't want to attack her or something. Yeah. I actually read the book about that.

Nothing for me highlighted it. I don't know. Well, I have an heart attack. Maybe she died with a heart attack.

I didn't say the cause was water. Just that she died in water. Well, if anybody hearing this, does that Google? Shout it out.

Let us know. I'm trying to figure out how you get less than 0%. Make the same wrong premonition twice. She was famous.

There wasn't the internet. Information didn't spread that quickly. That she was at 0%. I don't think she would have became famous.

So you're saying she would be very good on Twitter? No. Well, and some of her biggest critics were the amazing Randy. Exactly.

Who we talked about? The regular geller. Who hated your geller. And also the amazing Krenskin.

Who was a medalist. Why is everybody named the American American American? I don't know. I don't know.

I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.

Who is the w Saisth? Why is everybody named the amazing German Romantic American Maxx? And I'm gonna start calling myself the amazing Ravenrr. Because it's the thing apparently.

Chris? Are you an magician? This is to be amazing. I'm a magician.

I make food distribution. I was gonna say the exact same thing. Well, don't own it. I'm not amazing.

Usually because I'm not12. No, very Im Ramirez. How fast do you eat that food? I mean I can take a bit of his read on 2 minutes.

Maybe I could be individually clueless sometimes? I can be a classical couch sometimes. I had one today for breakfast. It was delicious.

He's a mentor and author. Really alkab{\ exceeding. navigators. kind of that thing where he he's very big on debunking and showing how things work.

Right, because he's he like Randy, you know, they're very proud of their their profession and the hard work and they want to remain the integrity of it. They don't like it when people come in and integrate it and make them look bad. I was gonna say they're proud of their medium. Exactly.

Exactly. And their medium is science and sleight of hand and smoke and mirrors and they own it and they own it and they're very good at and they're very good at pen and teller. Same kinds of things to think about it. Oh, pen and teller are amazing.

So Kresgan said he helped the police with 84 crime cases, but he says, you know, I myself will tell you that I was only helpful in about a third of those. You know, so he's only claiming 33%. And he's not even saying he just says helpful. Yeah, he I don't believe he was thinking it from a psychic standpoint, but from a almost like a profiler stew.

Yeah, he just seen it things from a behavioral standpoint and putting things together that other people might not see putting relationships together that others. Yeah, and his actual quote says, I can help potential witnesses uncover information they didn't realize they had. So he didn't even claim to be a psychic. So he could unlock memories, essentially.

Pretty much. That's a pretty good gift. I mean, you can do that. That's a great gift.

Yeah, Raven and I have been rewatching kind of binge watching Criminal Minds and with the profiling there of the behavioral analysis unit and it's very interesting the different things that they do and how they can predict what people will do based upon their previous actions. Yeah, and how they have been based on what happened. And I'm pretty much undecided that if I could go back and read your life, I would be an FBI profiler right now because it's awesome. I agree.

That's something I'd be interested to do in America. Now is that only based off of Criminal Minds because that's all, you know, probably what I've said. And I realized that you know, you don't go and solve crime in three days and that you don't, you know, go around the canal hot with your, but no, just just the, so to answer your question, yes, and I realize it's darker and takes longer, but just the process that they go through and they can, you know, or they come out and say, okay, based on this and this, you know, the bad guy is the unsub, the unsub is right is, you know, this is just the process just sounds like a really big game of clue. Really?

And I love clue. Problem solved. Analyzing the mind. Yes.

People are people are interesting. People are scary as heck. And again, just gets back to that. How will do you cold read people?

How where do you do that? And I think that's part of the analyzing that way. And also people that can cold read people and then move them along to get information from them from the reactions from the things that they say and do and their body movements and move the person to get more information from them to answer their own questions. Right.

So Chris can sense something else which I thought was interesting. He said that any mentalist, psychic or medium who suggests someone is dead without physical evidence is on shaky ethical ground. And so when you get someone that's just like, you know what, we really have to watch the ethics of this field. I tend to give them a little more credibility.

Now it's interesting that you mentioned psychics, mediums and mentalists, right? Yes. That's right. There's even a third.

That's what he said. And I didn't research mentalist, but I would, you know, just based on what we've talked about at this point, they're probably more like the profiler where they just noticed people's behaviors and body motions. He also says it's the height of irresponsibility and it indirectly aids the criminal because the people who believe the psychic may have less of a reason to continue the search for the victim, which I thought that's very valid. Well, with this with that study I mentioned earlier about Sylvia Brown, they said that after they concluded that 115 case that she was she was actually harmful and was the other word that he used on there.

Untrustworthy. That's what they labeled the rest because of how inaccurate she was with her cases. And again, it would be interesting to do an end up study on her if I had that kind of time or desire, but you know, to find out how accurate was she at the start and did it just kind of blow out of proportion as she got more famous. Got a little swollen headed there.

I think that's kind of what happened to her. Absolutely. But then it didn't seem to matter if she still had a four year waiting list at 750 for half an hour. Right.

People are still coming together because there's still that hope that you are who you say you are and you're going to tell me what I need to hear. But again, no internet. Exactly. It's amazing what that does.

Oh yeah. It shines the light on things and lets people know your records and you can't just hide in obscurity. Yep. So let's talk about some of her predictions.

So it says plenty of them did not come to pass. So here's a few. She claimed that people would have microchips in their brains to override or cure mental health issues like schizophrenia and severe epilepsy by 2014. Now these were predictions made like in 2008, I believe.

In the early 2000s. You know Musk is on that one right now. He's developing chips that go into brains and he wants to play audio. But from there on, we'll see what happens.

Yeah. She's off though right now by about seven years. Nobody's right all the time. Only God is right.

Only God. She also said that by 2020, it would be common for women to give birth in gravity rigged birthing chambers. Now there are some things like looming will give birth in a pool of water and that could be kind of anti-gravity I suppose. Yeah.

But they were. Yeah. I'm not going to say that's been around all over the country. All I see is a giant gyro ball spinning around the creek.

You know, anti-gravity while she's trying to get birth. And then maybe like it doesn't sound good. I don't know. They could just kind of shoot out if you get it spin in the right way.

Great. He also said that in 2020 blindness would be cured. And deafness. She's got a cure deafness too.

So did. And there would be no more retirement plans or IRAs or those kinds of things. Did she have any predictions that came true? You know what?

You didn't run across. Yes. This one. This one.

The extra-corrects drills would be living among us and we would know about it in 2020. Well, it was released on the world. What was that? Your magazine?

The world news? Oh yeah. Weekly world news. Weekly world news.

Okay. So I guess she's right on that one. So there's one out that in one of her books that she predicted the pandemic COVID-19 in 2020. But more people may say that than say that.

I mean, they just say it was too vague. It's too broad. Every psychic out there has predicted a major plague and she had actually made this prediction shortly after the SARS virus had happened. And the idea of these kinds of viruses happening over and over now.

It was a pretty detailed prediction for 2020 and that it would go away in about a year. I thought that was kind of interesting. But at the same time, Dean Kootz who wrote the book The Eyes of Darkness, who is just a novelist. He's not a procrastinator or a predictor in any way.

He also in his book had a prediction of a respiratory illness in 2020. And he makes no claims at all whatsoever to the ability to foresee the future or be a psychic or a medium. And he happened to hit the same thing in one of his plot lines of a virus in all respiratory virus in 2020. So one of her favorite years was 2020.

She talked a lot about 2020. And I don't know if it's just because it's 2020, 2020, you know, Kim Kardashian just thinks that Sylvia Brown is the bomb. So therefore Kanye West also thinks that she's the bomb. So she predicted that there were going to be domed cities.
