Sylvia Hernandez

from A Quilter's Life · host Paula Chamberlain

I had the opportunity to go to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and actually see Sylvia Hernandez’ quilt in the exhibit Fabric of a Nation, American Quilt Stories.  Although Sylvia and I got to visit several months ago, we wanted to wait until the exhibit was opened to share her interview.  This special exhibition opened on October 10th, 2021 and will be available until January 16th, 2022.  Sylvia has great ideas on making art and I’m so happy for her that the museum reached out to her to be included in this exhibition. Here's a few pictures I took of Sylvia's quilt at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The detail of the quilting is amazing Find out more about Sylvia on Facebook: Brooklyn Quilt Girl Thanks to the curator, Jennifer Swope, for connecting me with Sylvia.  You can find out more about the quilt exhibit Fabric of a Nation: American Quilt Stories on the museum's website: Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
