Symbol of Faith: Finale - Fr. Gregory - August 28, 2022

Today Father Gregory concludes his sermon series, The Symbol of Faith, with the lines, I expect the resurrection of the dead. And the life of the age to come. Amen. Christians, from the beginning, have had the hope that our bodies, after death and burial, will rise again imperishable. We eagerly anticipate with certainty this resurrection without knowing the time. Supporting the Creed is taken from Scripture Father Gregory shares several illustrations from I Corinthians. Therein Saint Paul says we have sown a physical body and raised in a spiritual body. All the dead will rise without exception. Presently we see dimly as in a mirror but in paradise, we will be known by God, and see Him as He is. No eye has seen nor ear heard the things prepared by God for those who love Him. This hope of Orthodox Christians was foolishness both in antiquity and today but the answer is still the same, is anything too difficult for the Lord?
