Symptoms of a Wicked Heart

Daily, our national affairs reveal the root problem of a wicked heart. Hatred, prejudice, and racism, just to name a few symptoms, are deeply rooted in the history of America. The most recent police shootings and killings are causing people to rise up and say, "Enough is enough!"  The wicked heart is a condition that only God can remedy. It is God alone who can give us a new heart and put a new spirit within us. He has to remove the heart of stone and give us a heart of flesh. The state of our nation is best described in Isaiah chapter 1:4, "Woe to the sinful nation, a people whose guilt is great, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the Lord; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him."
