Syracuse Defense Dominates Spring Football

Syracuses Blue team emerged victorious in the spring football game, thanks to a 50-yard field goal. The defense dominated, forcing turnovers and holding off touchdowns until the ninth series. New defensive coordinator Vince Kehres unit created chaos with picks, a turnover on downs, and steady pass pressure. Quarterbacks struggled, particularly backups Amari Odom and Malachi Nelson, but Elijah Moore shone with a 65-yard run after catch. Awards recognized standouts like Gemaus Sackie, Umari Hatcher, and Ziyyon Bredell. Coaches will now review film to decide the QB battle around injured Steve Angeli, with the defense poised to lead the team in the fall.
