Syracuse Falls to Cal in Overtime Thriller | Syracuse Orangemen Football News

Syracuse stumbled in their conference opener, falling 21-18 to Cal in a gritty, penalty-plagued battle. Despite leading at halftime and flashing moments of brilliance — including a TD from Steve Angeli to Daunte Bacheyie and a long run by Tylik Hill — the Orange couldn’t hold on. Cal’s Kingston Lopa delivered two game-changing pick-sixes, sealing the win with under five minutes left. Angeli struggled, throwing three interceptions, while Syracuse missed a late field goal and turned the ball over again. Bacheyie shined despite the loss, but the team now faces a tough road test against Pitt — needing discipline and consistency to turn things around.
