Syracuse Hires Notre Dame's Yulander Wells for Athletic Department

Syracuse University is making a significant move in its athletic department by hiring Yulander Wells, formerly of Notre Dame, as its new Chief Operating Officer. Wells, who has a proven track record in strategy and mens basketball operations, will have direct oversight of football. This comes as Syracuse is undergoing a rebuild under new Athletic Director Bryan Blair and a new mens basketball coach, Gerry McNamara. Wells is expected to help third-year football coach Fran Brown elevate the program in the Atlantic Coast Conference. An official announcement is expected this week.
