Syracuse Lands Big OL Prospect | Syracuse Orangemen Football News

Six-foot-six, 267-pound Andrew Johnstone just got his first college offer from Syracuse — and it’s a big deal. The Long Island prospect, who’s been on Syracuse’s radar since April, is being eyed as a future offensive lineman with the potential to dominate the trenches. The offer came directly from offensive coordinator Jeff Nixon, who told Johnstone his talent is undeniable and he’s ready for the next level. For Johnstone, this validation is a major motivator after years of hard work. It also fits head coach Fran Brown’s strategy to keep top New York talent home — just like Elijah Kimble before him. Johnstone believes Syracuse is on the rise, especially after recent off-season moves, and he’s excited about the program’s direction. With his athletic frame and room to add weight, he’s seen as a developing force — and Syracuse is banking on him becoming a cornerstone of their future.
