Syracuse Lands Top RB Prospect | Syracuse Orangemen Football News

Syracuse just pulled off a major recruiting win with three-star running back Tylek Lewis, a Louisiana phenom who rushed for over 1,000 yards and 21 touchdowns last season—and can run a sub-11-second 100m. He chose the Orange over Arkansas and West Virginia, swayed by current players like Ju’Juan Johnson and the proven track record of running backs coach Dennis Thomas, who’s developed NFL stars like Jonathan Taylor. Lewis’ commitment is part of Syracuse’s big push for 2027, as they’ve recently nudged other RBs to decommit to make room—and now they’re targeting four-star Elijah Kimble, who’s set to announce soon. With Lewis on board, the Orange’s 2027 class is already climbing the ACC and national rankings—big momentum for the future.
