Syracuse Offers St. Augustine's Shields

Braden Shields, a six-foot-five, two hundred eighty pound two-way lineman from St. Augustine Prep, received his first college offer from Syracuse. The Orange see him excelling on the line, and head coach Fran Brown, a fellow South Jersey native, believes Shields will thrive in college. Shields, who visited Syracuse in November, was impressed by their D.A.R.T. culture and the organized atmosphere. Last year, he helped his team go six and four, showcasing his improved blocking and physicality. As his recruitment progresses, Shields plans to connect more with Syracuse and continue his hard work.
